ADVOCATE FOR THE PEOPLE IN CD20
You deserve a rep that actually shows up.
Sandra Van Scotter is running for Congress in California's 20th District because our neighbors deserve a representative who answers the phone, holds Town Halls, and fights like it's personal — because for Sandra, it is.

"This district has been treated like it doesn't matter — like the outcome here is already decided.
I don't believe that. And neither do the hundreds of people I've talked to across the Central Valley."
- Sandra Van Scotter for CD20
Our district has been invisible for too long.
For years, CA-20 has been represented by people who don't show up. No Town Halls. Unanswered letters. And a congressional website that doesn't even include a link to help you access Social Security or the VA.
When the One Big Beautiful Bill passed and threatened the healthcare of hundreds of thousands of Californians, our representative was silent.
The people I work with every day — adults with disabilities, veterans, working families — were scared and had nowhere to turn.
That's not representation. That's abandonment.

WHY SANDRA?
This isn't a career move. It's a calling.
For 20 years as a Respiratory Therapist, Sandra was the person called in when everything was going wrong — calm, decisive, and focused when others couldn't be.
Today she works directly with intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. Her son receives services from California's Regional Center system. She has managed $500,000 in combined budgets for the people she serves. She was appointed by the State Council on Developmental Disabilities to advise Kern Regional Center — which serves 19,000 people across Kern, Inyo, and Mono Counties.
She is not learning about these issues.
She lives them.
HEALTHCARE FOR ALL
Real people shouldn't lose their Medi-Cal because a bill passed in the middle of the night. Sandra will fight to protect and expand coverage for every Californian.
WATER,ENERGY & THE CENTRAL VALLEY
CA-20 is an agricultural and defense powerhouse. It's time our district had a voice in Congress that matches that weight.
